Stoddard & Welsh, PLLC was formed to fulfill what we perceived to be a significant niche in today's legal market - offering quality legal services at reasonable, containable, prices.  Representing a variety of small to medium size businesses and individuals, we strive to balance our clients' legal needs with the constrains placed on them by their legal budgets.  Because we do not have the enormous overhead of many of our larger competitors, we are able to charge economical rates, thereby reducing our clients' overall legal costs.  With over two decades of combined legal experience, we are both efficient and practical.  We utilize our attorneys at all levels of experience, and we will never assign associates or staff to a case simply to "bill hours."  Rather, we will compete the work on your matters in a timely, cost-effective manner.  In situations where high costs cannot be avoided, we will discuss the situation prior to incurring substantial fees and work with you to develop an arrangement that charges a fair rate for the work completed within a budget you can afford.  We commonly work out payment plans, or alternative payment methodologies with our client.  Our goal is to have your business succeed and become as profitable as possible.  A law firm should be an asset to your business - not a liability.

When you call our office to speak with one of our attorneys, your call will be routed to your attorney.  If your attorney is not available, we will get you to someone who knows about your matter.  If an attorney is out of the office, our receptionist will offer to let you speak to another attorney or the paralegal who is in charge of your files and who knows you and your business.  On the rare occasion when no one is available to speak to you, we will return your call as soon as possible, and usually the same day or next business morning.

Clients are not "income streams" to Stoddard & Welsh, PLLC.  We hope that our clients will also become our friends and that we can enjoy each others success together.  We will learn your business, not just to minimize time and expense, but because we genuinely want to know who you are and what you do.  This also means that we will give you honest, sometimes blunt, opinions, even when we know that is not what you want to hear.  We want to offer our clients solid, candid, legal advice - not just be a "yes man" to earn a fee.

History

Stoddard & Welsh, PLLC was formed in 2010, after a recent move to Campbell Center, to address the specific needs of our Clients.  We look forward to long relationships with all of our Clients and continuing to grow our businesses together. 

The firm recently acquired more space and moved from the mezzanine level of Campbell Center (Suite M1150), to the South Tower of Campbell Center (Suite 1150).

Stoddard & Welsh also added a new associate, Sara Stephens in the fall of 2011.  She is a graduate of Southern Methodist Law school and a welcome addition to our team.
